Job summary

Science Centre Board seeks a proactive Associate, Corporate Communications to drive PR and communications campaigns and strengthen the Centre’s reputation. You will craft media materials, engage media partners and coordinate content across LinkedIn, websites and internal channels.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams, agencies and external partners, with strong writing and stakeholder management skills and at least 2 years in communications.

What the role is:

Science Centre Singapore is dedicated to the promotion of interest, learning and creativity in science & technology through imaginative and enjoyable experiences. Through these experiences, the Centre also contributes to the nation's development of its human resources.

We are looking for a proactive and resourceful communications professional to take up the post of Associate, Corporate Communications under the Marketing & Communications department. This role sits within the PR and Communications team, part of the wider Brand and Engagement Division.

The Associate, Corporate Communications is responsible for supporting and executing PR and communications campaigns that build awareness and strengthen the reputation of Science Centre Singapore and its group of attractions. The role spans earned media, paid content partnerships, KOL and creator engagement, Linkedin content, internal communications and issues management.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify strong story opportunities and translate them into compelling content for different audiences and platforms.

What you will be working on:

The Associate, Corporate Communications, will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop compelling communications materials, including media releases, media pitches, talking points, FAQs, speeches, corporate content and other communications collateral.
• Build and maintain relationships with media, KOLs, creators and relevant content partners, identifying opportunities to generate meaningful coverage and engagement.
• Plan and coordinate media and KOL engagements, including previews, visits, interviews and on-site activities.
• Support paid content partnerships with publishers, media platforms, KOLs and creators, from identifying suitable partners and developing briefs to coordinating content, approvals and campaign delivery.
• Develop and manage content across corporate communications channels, including LinkedIn, website, eDMs, social media and internal communications.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify newsworthy stories, develop communications angles and ensure timely and consistent messaging across channels.
• Monitor media, social and campaign performance, using analytics and media monitoring tools to evaluate results, identify insights and recommend improvements.
• Manage incoming media enquiries and support the development of responses, holding statements, FAQs and other materials for issues and crisis communications.
• Support the development and maintenance of crisis communications protocols and SOPs.
• Work with agencies, partners and vendors to ensure communications deliverables are accurate, on-brand, timely and aligned with campaign objectives.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the media, social and digital landscape, identifying emerging trends and opportunities relevant to Science Centre Singapore.

What we are looking for:

We seek a proactive communications professional with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in public relations, media relations, marketing communications, corporate communications, or journalism.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt content for media, corporate, digital and social platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work across internal teams, agencies, media and external partners.
• A good understanding of Singapore’s media and digital landscape, with existing media and/or KOL relationships being an advantage.
• Experience or familiarity with paid publisher, content creator or influencer partnerships.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms, content management systems, media monitoring and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and an understanding of how they can be used responsibly to support communications work.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good judgement, attention to detail and the ability to identify potential communications issues and opportunities.
• Flexibility to support events and media engagements outside regular working hours when required.
• Experience managing LinkedIn and website content would be an advantage.
• Additional language proficiency is an advantage.

Candidates with more years of relevant experience may be considered as a Senior Associate.
