Job summary

Public Service Division is seeking a candidate to join the Financial Advisers Supervision Department (FAS) in Singapore. You will work on supervising financial institutions engaged in financial advisory and insurance broking activities, assess risk management and internal controls, and contribute to regulatory reviews.

The role involves data analytics, refining supervisory indicators, and collaboration with MAS departments and external partners.

Qualifications

• Strong audit and analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to spot trends.
• Knowledge and experience in using AI to solve business/operational problems.
• Comfortable working with data and using data visualization to present findings.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with financial institutions conducting financial advisory activities is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight timelines.
• Self-motivated and driven to deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Part of a team supervising financial institutions engaged in financial advisory and insurance broking activities.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management and internal controls, and market conduct practices.
• Contribute to reviews related to supervision, regulatory changes, and current processes.
• Conduct data analytics, refine supervisory indicators, and analyze institution-level data.
• Interact with MAS departments and external parties such as audit firms and regulators.
