Job summary

HSBC Life (Singapore) Pte Limited is seeking an Associate, Actuarial Services to join a dedicated Par & Universal Life Fund Management and Experience Studies team. You will support experience monitoring, assumption setting and conduct impact tests for Universal Life Fund Management.

Ideal candidates have up to 2 years actuarial experience, strong communication, and good technical and problem solving skills.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of Actuarial experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently, work well with others as interaction with other departments may be required.
• Good technical, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
• Experience in SQL/Python and/or Prophet is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support experience monitoring, assumption setting, impact/sensitivity testing, and Universal Life Fund Management in the Actuarial Services Department to support business needs.
• Supporting the monthly and quarterly delivery of management information for internal stakeholders.
• Supporting in ad-hoc actuarial projects and onboarding of new products.

In this role you will:

• The jobholder is part of Par & Universal Life Fund Management and Experience Studies team.
• The jobholder is mainly responsible for supporting experience monitoring, assumption setting, impact/sensitivity testing, and Universal Life Fund Management in the Actuarial Services Department to support business needs.
• Supporting the monthly and quarterly delivery of management information for internal stakeholders.
• Supporting in ad-hoc actuarial projects and onboarding of new products.
• Working closely with the group office and external Actuarial consultants, ensuring adherence to the HSBC guidelines and statutory regulations.

To be successful you will need:
