Job summary

Finova invites applications for an Associate - Accounts in Singapore to join Finova BPO. You will support accounting, reporting and finance operations, handling full sets of accounts for a portfolio and assisting in month-end closing and reporting packages.

The role requires at least 1 year in external audit or outsourcing, a degree in Accountancy or equivalent, and familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in external audit, accounting outsourcing, or fund administration / fund accounting.
• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
• Clear thinking, meticulous, strong time management and independent work capability.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of accounting software and RPA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts for a portfolio of clients, solo or with assistants.
• Manage month-end closing for a portfolio of companies.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packages.
• Handle day-to-day outsourced finance functions including AP processing and payroll.
• Consolidate simple to complex group accounts.
• Compile financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
• Assist in financial management services and advisory projects.
• Address complex accounting issues as needed.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive professional to be part of our finance team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support in accounting, reporting and finance operations, while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal standards. In addition, the candidate may be assigned to support our clients in the financial sector, delivering high-quality accounting and operational assistance aligned with client needs and expectations.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Handle full set of accounts of a portfolio of clients individually or supported by assistants;
• Handle Month end closing for a portfolio of companies;
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packages;
• Handle day to day outsourced finance function, including AP processing and payroll;
• Consolidation of simple to complex group accounts;
• Compilation of financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards;
• Assist in providing financial management services;
• Solve complex accounting issues from time to time;
• Assist in consultancy and business advisory projects;
• Undertake ad-hoc assignment from time to time.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• At least 1 year experience in external audit, accounting outsourcing practice and/or fund administration & fund accounting service provider.
• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CPA or their equivalent;
• Have clear thinking, committed, meticulous, good time management, resourceful, proactive, able to work independently, effective verbal and written communication skill, honest and resilient.
• Familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
• IT skillset, knowledge of accounting software, RPA and other modern automation tools are highly desired.
