Job summary

HOLMAN FENWICK WILLAN SINGAPORE LLP seeks an ambitious transactional finance lawyer seeking to develop a specialist commodities practice within the climate and structured finance team.

You will work on complex cross-border transactions, including derivatives, risk management and carbon-related matters, alongside market-leading lawyers for domestic and international clients in Asia and beyond.

Qualifications

• 3–4 PQE with a transactional finance background.
• Strong academic track record with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent.
• Experience in banking and finance, structured finance, derivatives, asset finance or commodity finance transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating finance and commercial documentation.
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good commercial awareness and an interest in commodities, finance and energy markets.
• Attention to detail and good practical transaction management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Efficient, organised and able to demonstrate excellent time management skills.
• A team player with effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident, proactive and able to take ownership of assigned work whilst recognising when to seek support and guidance.
• Personable and able to communicate comfortably with colleagues, counterparties and clients.
