Job summary

Singlife seeks a skilled investment professional to join our dynamic product team. You will conduct fund research, manage portfolios, and support product onboarding in a fast-paced fintech environment.

You will translate research into actionable insights, produce periodic reports and collaborate with Compliance, Legal and Marketing to ensure governance and quality across investment content and communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in investment management or financial services.
• Strong understanding of mutual funds, structures and performance metrics.
• Experience in fund reporting, factsheets and performance analysis.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate fund performance and strategies.
• Familiarity with Morningstar Direct or similar research platforms.
• Experience in fund research and due diligence is preferred.
• Experience with investment product onboarding is advantageous.

Job description

We are looking for a self-driven and highly motivated individual to join a dynamic investment product team operating in a fast-paced fintech environment, with exposure across fund research, product management, portfolio solutions and business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Research, Reporting & Due Diligence

• Conduct research and due diligence on mutual funds and other investment products.
• Prepare and review periodic fund review reports, performance reports, factsheets and other investment-related reporting, ensuring accuracy, consistency and quality of analysis.
• Perform fund comparisons and peer analysis to support investment recommendations and the selection of funds for Approved Product Lists and High Conviction Lists.
• Use Morningstar and other investment research and data platforms to conduct fund screening, peer comparison, performance and portfolio analysis.
• Liaise with external fund managers and asset management partners as part of ongoing fund monitoring, due diligence and product reviews.

Investment Product & Portfolio Management

• Support the review and onboarding of new investment products and product providers, including due diligence, internal approvals, commercial and fee negotiations, documentation and legal agreements.
• Support the end-to-end lifecycle management of investment products, including mutual funds, model portfolios and other investment solutions.
• Contribute to the management and monitoring of model portfolios, ensuring portfolios remain aligned with their investment objectives and prevailing investment views.
• Implement approved changes to model portfolio allocations and coordinate associated updates to portfolio materials, including monthly factsheets and related reporting.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders including Compliance, Legal, Distribution, Operations and Marketing to support effective product management and execution.
• Ensure investment product activities and documentation are undertaken in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.

Investment Content & Communication

• Contribute to market commentaries, fund updates, investment outlooks and other investment-related content.
• Translate investment research and fund analysis into clear and actionable insights for internal stakeholders, advisers and clients.
• Support presentations, training sessions and educational programmes relating to investment products and markets.
• Support ad-hoc investment research, product and business initiatives as required.

Key Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in investment management, asset management, wealth management or the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of the mutual funds industry , including fund structures, investment strategies, performance measurement and portfolio characteristics.
• Demonstrable experience in fund reporting , including the preparation and/or review of periodic fund reports, factsheets, performance analysis or investment review materials.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically assess fund performance, portfolio positioning and investment strategies.
• Familiarity with Morningstar , preferably Morningstar Direct, or similar fund research and analytics platforms.
• Previous experience in fund research and investment due diligence is preferred.
• Experience in investment product onboarding and working with asset managers, investment platforms, banks, financial advisory firms or wealth management businesses would be advantageous.
