Job summary

DBS invites applications for an AVP, Senior Engineering Lead to spearhead design, development, and delivery of platform capabilities across digital channels within the Corporate Internet Banking Platform. You will partner with the Engineering Lead, drive architecture reviews, and mentor engineers to uphold high standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven track record delivering Corporate Internet Banking, Transaction Banking, Cash Management, Payments, Digital Banking, or Corporate Banking platforms.
• Strong understanding of banking domains including Payments, Accounts, Entitlements, Approval Workflows, Notifications, Regulatory and Audit Controls.
• Experience designing and building enterprise-scale applications using Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, API-First Design, Domain Driven Design (DDD), Cloud-Native Architecture.
• Hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST APIs, Kafka/AMQ, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes.
• UI and Digital Channel technologies including Angular, TypeScript, Micro Frontend (MFE).
• DevSecOps, CI/CD, Secure Coding Practices, Application Security, Observability and SRE.
• Experience with AI-assisted software engineering tools; familiarity with Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Copilot, Agentic AI helpful.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration with business and analysis teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Engineering Lead to execute the technology strategy and architecture roadmap for the Corporate Internet Banking Platform.
• Lead solution design and engineering delivery for assigned business domains and digital channel capabilities.
• Work with business stakeholders and analysts to translate requirements into scalable technology solutions.
• Drive architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and governance to ensure quality and standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring across the SDLC.
• Review designs and implementation approaches to align with architecture and business goals.
• Support adoption of Microservices, EDA, API-First, MFE, DevSecOps, and modern engineering practices.
• Collaborate with domain teams across Payments, Accounts, Entitlements, Approvals, Notifications, Dashboard, and Shared Services.
• Drive engineering excellence through automated testing, CI/CD, observability, secure coding, resiliency, and performance improvements.
• Contribute to AI-assisted software engineering initiatives using Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Copilot, and related tools.
• Support release planning, production readiness reviews, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and coach engineers and junior technical leads to foster engineering excellence and accountability.
