Job summary

NoMad Singapore is seeking an Assistant Security Manager to support the Assistant Director of Safety and Security in safeguarding the hotel, guests, team members and assets. You will supervise daily security operations and coordinate emergency preparedness in a luxury hotel environment.

Collaborate with all departments, liaise with government authorities, and lead the Security team to deliver outstanding service while upholding safety, fire safety standards and compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of security experience within the hospitality industry, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of hotel security operations, emergency response procedures and fire safety regulations.
• Experience liaising with government authorities, law enforcement and emergency services.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certified First Aider and Fire Safety Manager certification are advantageous.
• Proficiency in CCTV systems, access control systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and make sound operational decisions.
• Previous luxury hotel or pre-opening experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Security department to ensure safety of guests, team members, visitors and assets.
• Supervise Security Officers and coordinate deployments, patrols and assignments.
• Conduct regular patrols of guest floors, public areas and back-of-house facilities.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms and security equipment for proper functionality.
• Maintain effective key control across departments.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies and guest requests.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet security requirements.
