Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Overall Job Objectives:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service, excellent guest experience, effective team performance, and compliance with company and Singapore regulatory standards.
The role will supervise both Front of House team and Back of House team, monitor service quality and operational performance, support manpower planning and training, and assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient restaurant environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Restaurant Manager in managing daily restaurant operations and ensuring smooth service.
- Supervise and guide the Front of House team during daily operations, including peak periods.
- Work closely with the Kitchen and Operations teams to ensure effective coordination between FOH and BOH.
- Monitor service quality, guest satisfaction, table turnover, and overall dining experience.
- Handle guest enquiries, feedback, and service issues professionally and implement appropriate solutions.
- Train, coach, and develop team members to maintain consistent service standards.
- Assist with manpower deployment, staff scheduling, attendance, and daily work allocation.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, service standards, workplace safety, and applicable Singapore regulations.
- Maintain high standards of restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, food handling practices, and workplace safety.
- Monitor restaurant opening and closing procedures and ensure operational checklists are completed.
- Support inventory monitoring, ordering, stock control, and minimisation of operational wastage.
- Monitor sales and operational performance and support initiatives to achieve business targets.
- Support promotions, events, menu launches, and other restaurant initiatives.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager with performance monitoring, staff development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Step in to oversee restaurant operations in the absence of the Restaurant Manager when required.
Job Specifications:
- Diploma or relevant qualification in Hospitality, F&B Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant experience in restaurant, hospitality, or F&B operations.
- Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.
- Experience in Korean cuisine, Korean restaurants, or other Asian F&B concepts is an advantage.
- Experience in casual dining or high-volume restaurants with multiple customer turnovers is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, service standards, and customer experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple operational priorities.
- Willingness to work according to the restaurant's operating schedule, including weekends and public holidays where required.
