Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or related field from a reputable university.
  • Financial qualifications, knowledge of accounting & finance/law.
  • Min. 3 years of Corporate Banking experience with knowledge of Trade Finance, Treasury, DCM.
  • Knowledge of credit analysis, legal documentation settlement, credit administration.
  • Achievement oriented, self-motivated; resourceful and decisive.

Responsibilities

  • Understand client needs and ensure that appropriate facilities are offered to the client.
  • Analyse creditworthiness of clients, identify and assess key risks, and structure facilities to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare clear Facility Applications and annual/interim reviews, including financial-spread analysis and covenant checks.
  • Prepare proposals for ad-hoc transactions and marketing clearances in line with Bank policies.
  • Support development of client relationships, including accompanying RMs on client visits.
  • Ensure client documentation is duly executed and perfected.
  • Raising accounts on Early Alert and preparing updates.
  • Handle excesses, seek approvals, and follow up with clients until regularization.
  • Ensure credit files are updated; assist RM in transaction execution and drawdown requests.
  • Coordinate execution of legal documentation with counsel and other lenders as necessary.
  • Coordinate transactional approvals and monitoring with RM; work with product, risk, and compliance teams.
  • Be escalation point for client relationships and manage financial crime risk (KYC/AML/Sanctions).
  • Timely KYC and trigger reviews; respond to alerts from ongoing monitoring.

Job description

Job holder will assist the RM for client coverage for corporate and institutional clients, in the areas of credit assessment and reviews, client servicing and client due diligence. This is also an important role from a financial crime risk management perspective and is expected to assist the RM in managing all aspects of the client relationship most notably the financial crime risk in the portfolio. Closely work with Head CIB and Senior Manager - Portfolio Management in maintaining the overall portfolio metrics and quality of the book.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understanding client needs and ensuring that appropriate facilities are being offered to the client
  • Analyse creditworthiness of clients, identification and assessment of key risks and structuring of facilities to mitigate the risks
  • Preparation of clear and concise Facility Applications and annual / interim review of facilities including spreading of financials on Moody's Financial Analyst tool, performing financial analysis and confirmation of compliance to covenants and credit terms
  • Preparation of proposals for ad-hoc transactions and marketing clearances in line with Bank policies
  • Actively participate in supporting development of client relationship, including accompanying RMs on client visits
  • Ensuring all client documentation are duly executed and perfected
  • Raising accounts on Early Alert as required, preparing early alert updates
  • Handling excesses, seeking approval and following up with clients until regularization
  • Ensuring credit files are always updated
  • Assist RM in the implementation and execution of transactions including confirmation of conditions precedents met, and handling drawdown requests
  • Assist RM in co-ordinating the execution of legal documentation including facility agreement negotiation, perfecting of security / collateral, liaising with external legal counsel, HO legal, other lenders, etc as necessary.
  • Assist RM in transactional approvals and monitoring
  • Work with product partners, operations team, risk and compliance for a seamless service delivery of the bank's products to the client. This includes matters relating to payment investigations, account opening, loan drawdown / rollover requests, quotation of rates, balance enquiries etc.
  • Be the escalation point for client relationships, proactively solving issues and escalating appropriately to RM, local COO or local CEO as required
  • Perform client due diligence and manage all aspects of financial crime risk in line with Bank's compliance policies such as "Know Your Customer" (KYC), Anti Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions etc.
  • Timely KYC and trigger reviews
  • Follow up on alerts triggered by ongoing transaction monitoring as necessaryPromote a culture of teamwork within the unit by sharing best practices / market information and backing up team members in client servicing
Requirements
