BESTBUILT CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects on site in Singapore.

The role focuses on coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to keep projects moving smoothly. The ideal candidate holds a diploma or degree in civil engineering, building, or construction management, with 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong communication, planning, and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant construction experience.
• Experience with a main contractor is a plus.
• Good understanding of drawings, site coordination, and project documentation.
• Familiar with Singapore construction practices and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director in managing day-to-day project and site operations.

• Monitor progress, work schedules, manpower, and materials.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specs, and quality standards.
• Prepare and update project schedules, reports, and documentation.
• Attend site and coordination meetings and follow up on outstanding matters.
• Coordinate submissions, drawings, materials, inspections, and approvals.
• Support cost matters with QS team on variations and procurement.
• Maintain proper project records and correspondence.
• Support timely project completion within budget and quality/safety requirements.

Assistant Project Manager

We are looking for a responsible and hands‑on Assistant Project Manager to support in planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director in managing day‑to‑day project and site operations.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, site teams, and internal departments.
• Monitor project progress, work schedules, manpower deployment, materials, and site activities.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Assist in preparing and updating project schedules, progress reports, work programmes, and project documentation.
• Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and project meetings, and follow up on outstanding matters.
• Coordinate submissions, drawings, materials, inspections, and approvals required for project execution.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure works are completed according to schedule.
• Identify site issues, delays, and coordination problems, and assist the Project Director in resolving them promptly.
• Liaise with the Quantity Surveying team on variations, additional works, procurement, and project cost matters.
• Work closely with the Safety team to ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements.
• Assist in coordinating inspections, testing, handover, defect rectification, and project completion activities.
• Maintain proper project records, site documentation, reports, and correspondence.
• Support the Project Director in ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety requirements.
• Perform any other project‑related duties assigned by the Project Director.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with a main contractor will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction processes, site coordination, drawings, and project documentation.
• Able to coordinate effectively with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and site teams.
• Good communication, planning, and problem‑solving skills.
• Responsible, proactive, and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced construction environment.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and relevant construction or project management software.
• Knowledge of Singapore construction practices and regulatory requirements will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate

We are looking for someone who is hands‑on, responsible, proactive, and willing to learn and grow.

The ideal candidate should be able to support the Project Manager closely, follow up on site and project matters, coordinate different parties, and ensure tasks are completed properly and on time.

Candidates with good attitude, strong ownership, teamwork, and willingness to take responsibility will be highly valued.
