Job summary

Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Human-Centric Embodied AI, Physical Intelligence, and World Models. The appointee will lead research at the intersection of robotics, AI, and design-led engineering.

Qualifications

• PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Design or closely related field.
• Strong publication record and evidence of independence across disciplines.
• Experience teaching and mentoring students; credible plan for research translation and impact.

Responsibilities

• Establish an internationally recognized research group and secure external funding.
• Publish in high-impact venues and contribute to curriculum development.
• Supervise undergraduate, Master’s and PhD students; participate in design-led education.
• Collaborate across SUTD pillars, industry, and public-sector partners.
