Job summary

Singapore University of Technology and Design invites applications for a Research Assistant (Embodied AI & Robotics System Integration).

You will conduct hands-on research to develop and deploy learning-based intelligence on real robots connected over wireless networks, setting up and integrating robot platforms in ROS 2, collecting demonstration data, training models, and deploying them on physical robots.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience building or programming real robots through capstone projects, internships, or open-source work.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with PyTorch or another deep learning framework.
• Experience with ROS/ROS 2 and Linux.
• Familiarity with robot learning such as imitation learning, VLA models, or world models.
• Hands-on experience training or deploying learned policies on robots and teleoperation data collection is valued.
