Job summary

NYP Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore seeks an educator to strengthen Embodied AI and mechatronics education. You will deliver curricula in Embodied AI, Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Design, and Advanced Simulation & Modelling, and design learning units on intelligent perception, learning, decision‑making, and control in physical robotic systems.

You will supervise and mentor learners on applied Embodied AI projects, mentor student teams, and actively contribute to industry collaborations

Qualifications

• A Relevant qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant industry or applied experience in Embodied AI, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Systems, or Simulation.
• Demonstrated experience in Embodied AI, robotics systems, AI/ML techniques to robotics, mechanical design, mechatronic system design, CAE/FEA, and sustainability‑driven engineering.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Embodied AI and related curricula, including curriculum design, course delivery, and project supervision.
• Design and maintain learning units focused on Embodied AI, including perception, learning, decision‑making, and control in physical systems.
• Supervise and mentor learners on Embodied AI projects integrating sensing, actuation, and real‑world robotics platforms.
• Coach learners and contribute to learner development and capability building.
• Identify and lead industry collaborations, applied research, and innovation in embodied and intelligent systems.
• Plan and manage industry/applied projects involving Embodied AI and intelligent mechatronic systems.
• Represent the department in committees and undertake administrative duties.
