Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Singapore is seeking an engineer to manage cost-effective wafer fabrication processes and provide operations support to the production line. You will own operational issues, ensure smooth process flow, and drive quality KPIs with maintenance teams and shift engineers.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Electronics/Technical fields with 1–2 years of experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Diploma, Degree or equivalent with Electronics/Computer/Technical/Mechanical background.
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a cost-efficient manufacturing process in wafer fabrication and support the production line.
  • Maintain day-to-day manufacturing activities with real-time problem analysis and solutions.
  • Ensure high quality, high yield, and low cost with cross-functional coordination.
  • Maintain and improve department quality KPIs (wafer scrap, defectivity, SPC, etc.).
  • Carry out quality tasks and support Process Engineer improvements.

Our technology starts with you.YOUR ROLEManage a cost-effective manufacturing process procedure in wafer fabrication, through the provision of operations support to the production line, so as to achieve organization's targeted manufacturing index. Take full ownership on all operational issues of assigned processMaintain and support day to day manufacturing activities through real-time problem analysis and real-time solution implementationEnsure smooth process flow with high quality, high yield, low cost by working with the Maintenance Specialists, Production Supervisors and Shift Engineers to achieve overall committed targetsMaintain, manage & improve department quality key performance index (wafer scrap, defectivity, SPC, FDC, non-conformance lot, excursion etc.)To carry out quality task and support Process Engineer improvement and job efficiencyManage Quality Tasks without guidance - “On-Time” Execution. - “On-Time” Data Entry. - Escalate to Process Engineer for any abnormality result or deteriorated trendFollow up on lots on hold based on OCAPExecute SWR / DOE / Trial R&D lotsManage Engineering Qualification & EvaluationExecute & compile key measurement Index report eg. eSTAR, defect median, equipment long down & down time trend & pare to and etcAble to trouble shoot OOC/OOSAble to do recipe alignment between system and MADCSAble to perform process fine tuning in OOCAble to carry out 80% of Process Engineer’s taskComply to the company’s security policy by adhering to the access privilege, control structures defined. - Recognize security incidents or suspected problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations. - Complete the annual security discipline refresher web-training and eQuiz. -Support or participate in periodic audits, where needed, to determine security violations and inefficiencies.Projects, duties or assignments that may be assigned, as part of the job responsibilities or development plan for the employee.Conduct real time problem analysis on equipment failures, alarms, and SPC violation and determine solutions through liaising with all parties involved and through studying past cases. Implement corrective actions using established OCAP procedures. Implement more user-friendly tools, process specifications, clear procedures and TPMAll basic inline investigation reported real time to relevant owners with full detailsResponse to Lots on Hold.
