Job summary

The Institute of Policy Studies at the National University of Singapore seeks an Executive (Project Management) to coordinate with clients, vendors and freelance interviewers to fulfil project obligations. This role supports the Social Lab's diverse projects and ensures timely delivery.

You will lead planning, monitor reports, oversee data collection quality, recruit interviewers, coordinate IT for electronic questionnaires, and maintain workflow systems to meet budgets and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma holder, preferably with experience in public sector projects.
  • Prior experience in project management is an advantage.
  • Experience in training of full‑time, part‑time and freelance staff.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership and team motivation capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines with attention to detail; Familiarity with IT systems and computer software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications a must.
  • Experience with data collection, questionnaire design and/or statistical software (e.g., SPSS, DimensionNet, Excel, VBA) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including ministries in Singapore, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitoring and delivering required project reports and materials punctually.
  • Ensuring quality control of fieldwork operations and data collection.
  • Managing interviewers’ workload and performance through distribution, coordination, coaching and problem resolution.
  • Preparing training materials and conducting training sessions.
  • Recruiting interviewers and part‑time staff to meet project staffing needs and deadlines.
  • Liaising with IT to programme, deploy and verify electronic questionnaires and conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Working with Quality Control to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining workflow control systems.
  • Managing project progress and coordinating with admin to plan required resources to meet deadlines and budgets.

Job Description

The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is an autonomous research institute within National University of Singapore. IPS is seeking to hire an Executive (Project Management) for its Social Lab. The incumbent will coordiate with clients, vendors and free-lance interviewers to fulfil project contractual obligations. This position will primarily provide support to the Social Lab's various projects.

Responsibilities Include

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including various ministries in Singapore to ensure successful project delivery;
  • Monitoring and delivering required project reports and materials punctually;
  • Ensuring quality control of fieldwork operations and data collection;
  • Managing interviewers’ workload and performance through workload distribution, coordination, coaching and problem resolution;
