Job summary

Singapore General Hospital Pte Ltd. invites applications for an Assistant Manager to support Horizon Scanning & Trend Intelligence in meeting transformational requirements.

You will scan for latest technologies, connect internal expert departments with external collaborators, and help adopt scalable innovations through funding strategies. You will stay abreast of healthcare tech trends, coordinate with stakeholders, and help plan a strategic innovation framework for SGH Campus projects.

Qualifications

• Degree with minimum 5 years working experience, preferably with knowledge of hospital operations (clinical or support function/both)
• Qualifications in related field studies applicable to the above job function (e.g. MSc Innovation Management, Human Factors, MBA)
• Certification or knowledge in Lean, project management, or any other relevant to above job function

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing scans of latest technologies and innovative solutions locally and around the world
• Keeping abreast of national, cluster and institutional innovation directives and strategies
• Supports SGH engagements with collaborators (e.g. agencies, companies etc.) together with stakeholders across different divisions or departments through co-ordination, preparation and follow-up
• Help minimize duplication of efforts and strengthen internal collaboration amongst stakeholders and expert departments
• Support Senior Management discussion to prioritise and identify ‘big-bets’ and solutions to explore
• Contribute inputs to develop a strategic innovation framework & transformation plan
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and innovation efforts locally and globally and provide relevant insights to the team
• Provide support where necessary for innovation enablers such as funding, project agreements, etc
• Support scaling of successful projects across hospital & cluster
• Serves as innovation planning resource for SGH Campus Phase 2B Hospital Planning Committee
• Stay informed on emerging technologies applicable to healthcare
• Stay informed on developments in agile, lean, design thinking methodologies and human factor studies
• Plan, organise and support learning visits to local, regional and international institutions

Job description

The Assistant Manager shall support Horizon Scanning & Trend Intelligence in meeting the transformational requirements of the hospital, which includes detailed scanning of the horizon for latest technologies and innovative solutions, connecting internal expert departments with collaborators from external agencies and companies as well as supporting them to successfully adopt and scale relevant solutions through appropriate funding sources and other strategies.

The job responsibilites include the following:

Job Requirements:
