Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or related discipline.
• Experience in full-set accounting with AP/AR/GL.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing and GST reporting.
• Knowledge of bank reconciliation, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems; Synergix experience is an advantage.
• Experience with RPA or finance automation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review key accounting functions including AP, AR, GL, P2P, bank and cash, fixed assets, inventory and financial reporting.
• Review and validate AP payment batches and accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure timely completion of financial schedules and reports.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations, POS reconciliations and GL reconciliations.
• Manage GST submissions and compliance requirements.
• Maintain and review fixed asset and ROU asset schedules.
• Review financial reports including Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheet and investigate discrepancies where required.
• Ensure proper financial controls, documentation and SOPs are maintained.
• Liaise with internal departments, auditors, external parties and ERP vendors to resolve accounting and reporting matters.
• Support internal and external audits, asset verification and inventory stock counts.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and support automation initiatives such as RPA and Power BI.
• Perform other finance-related projects and duties as assigned by the Head of Department or CFO.

Job Role

The role covers AP, AR, GL, GST, bank reconciliation, fixed assets and month-end/year-end closing, with responsibility for reviewing transactions, resolving accounting issues and maintaining proper financial controls.

Requirements

• Experience in month-end/year-end closing, GST and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of bank reconciliation, fixed assets and inventory accounting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems; Synergix experience is an advantage.
• Experience with RPA, Power BI or other finance automation tools is an added advantage.
• Meticulous, organised and comfortable working with high transaction volumes.
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines and resolve accounting issues effectively.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
