Job summary

A maritime engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced finance manager to oversee financial operations. The ideal candidate will manage compliance, optimize financial processes, and ensure sufficient liquidity for Singapore entities. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in finance operations and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, along with strong Excel skills and preferably proficiency in SAP.

Qualifications

  • Min 5 years of related experience in finance operation.
  • Experienced in leading a team and working with shared service teams.
  • Proficiency in SAP will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Manage cashflow and financial risks for Singapore entities.
  • Lead initiatives to optimise financial processes.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and banks.

Position Summary

This position is for PaxOcean Singapore Finance located at 5 Jalan Samulun.

This AM is to oversee and manage the financial aspects of the operational activities. He/She will need to be hands‑on, able to work in a high‑volume environment and comfortable in managing ambiguities and changes. He/She will need to have strong understanding of financial controls, compliance and risk management to re‑look at the current processes and proposed changes.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the daily operations in Tuas, ensuring alignment with Company’s objectives, policies and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures across operations.
  • Lead initiatives to optimise financial processes especially on accounts payables on invoice processing and payment processing.
  • Manage the Singapore entities (including holding co) cashflow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet the operation needs while manage financial and interest risks.
  • Work with FP&A and GL team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and banks.
  • Other ad‑hoc projects.
Job Requirements
  • Min 5 years of related experience in finance operation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Experienced in leading a team and work with shared service team.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP will be an added advantage.
