Job summary

Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital, members of NUHS, seek an experienced manager to provide operational, administrative, financial, and project support to the Emergency Medicine Department, driving service development, digital transformation, and performance management.

Reporting to the Manager (Clinical Services), you will collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders, oversee KPIs, and help implement workflows, SOPs, and IT systems to optimise departmental outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, development, implementation, and review of departmental workplans and service initiatives.
• Monitor, analyse, and report departmental KPIs and drive service quality and efficiency.
• Lead or coordinate projects related to service development, digitalisation, and system enhancements.
• Provide secretariat support for committees, including agenda, minutes and follow-up.
• Support development and optimisation of digital and IT systems for operations.
• Assist in departmental budgeting, business case development, and CAPEX/OPEX monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on operational initiatives and strategic projects.
• Undertake additional projects to support departmental goals and priorities.

Overview:

Reporting to the Manager (Clinical Services) of the Emergency Medicine Department, who works in partnership with and reports to the Head of Operations (Emergency Department) and Clinical Head of Department, you will provide operational, administrative, financial, and project management support to ensure the effective delivery of departmental services, strategic initiatives, and quality improvement programmes. You will work closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders to drive service development, operational excellence, digital transformation, and performance management within the department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the planning, development, implementation, and review of departmental workplans, service initiatives, workflows, SOPs, and operational strategies.
• Monitor, analyse, and report departmental performance indicators and KPIs, and support initiatives to improve service quality, efficiency, and operational outcomes.
• Lead or coordinate projects relating to service development, quality improvement, workflow redesign, digitalisation, automation, and system enhancement initiatives.
• Provide secretariat support for departmental committees, workgroups, and project meetings, including agenda preparation, minute taking, action tracking, and follow-up.
• Support the development, implementation, and optimisation of digital and IT systems to meet operational requirements and business needs.
• Assist in departmental financial planning, budgeting, business case development, and monitoring of CAPEX, OPEX, manpower, and training requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support operational initiatives, service improvements, and strategic projects.
• Undertake additional projects and duties as assigned to support departmental goals and organisational priorities.
