Job summary

Sembcorp Power Pte Ltd seeks a skilled MECOMS/ERP developer to design, implement, and support enterprise solutions across billing, metering, and market processes. You will work on integrations, data migrations, and system stability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a strong background in MECOMS/ERP, SQL, APIs, and SDLC/Agile practices, with the ability to analyze requirements and deliver scalable solutions in a dynamic energy context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with MECOMS, ERP, CIS, or similar enterprise apps.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with web services, APIs, system integrations, and middleware.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, test, and maintain MECOMS functionalities to support business and operational requirements.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, solution designs, and system enhancements.
• Support onboarding, billing, payment processing, collections, metering, and market-related processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system incidents, defects, and performance issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain integrations between MECOMS and upstream/downstream systems using APIs, middleware, databases, or file-based interfaces.
• Participate in system upgrades, patches, testing activities, and deployment exercises.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive measures.
• Support data migration, reconciliation, and validation during implementations and enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Ensure solutions comply with cybersecurity, governance, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
• Ensure solutions comply with cybersecurity, governance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to business users and internal support teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Experience in enterprise application development, systems integration, or software engineering.
• Experience with MECOMS, utility billing systems, customer information systems (CIS), ERP platforms, or comparable enterprise applications would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience working with web services, APIs, system integrations, and middleware technologies.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and change management processes.
• Experience in system testing, defect management, and release deployment activities.
• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as C#, Java, .NET, Python, or JavaScript would be advantageous.
• Experience in utility, energy, electricity retail, or billing operations environments would be advantageous.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and engaging business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and automation tools would be advantageous.
