Job summary

Quess Selection & Services Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Lead to oversee a team of engineers and technicians responsible for the safe operation of Electrical & Control Systems.

You will plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance to keep systems reliable and available. You will monitor performance, analyze failures, manage budgets, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, while driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical/electronic engineering.
• Proven experience in electrical/control systems or maintenance engineering.
• Experience leading engineering teams is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of engineers and officers to maintain electrical & control systems.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliability.
• Monitor performance, analyze failures, and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure WSH compliance.
• Review work permits and technical documentation.
• Manage resources including manpower, spares, equipment.
• Coach and develop team through training and appraisal.
• Prepare maintenance reports, budgets, and metrics.
• Stakeholder liaison to support maintenance and operations.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance efficiency and safety.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and Technical Officers to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of Electrical & Control Systems
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure system reliability and availability.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyse failures and trends, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Ensure maintenance works are carried out in accordance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements.
• Review and approve maintenance activities, work permits, and technical documentation where required.
• Manage maintenance resources, including manpower, spare parts, and equipment.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members through training, performance reviews, and career development initiatives.
• Prepare maintenance reports, budgets, and performance metrics while ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external parties to support maintenance and operational requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in electrical, electronics, control systems, industrial automation, or maintenance engineering.
• Prior experience leading or supervising engineering teams will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and maintenance planning.
• Good leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
