Well-established A1 Main Contractor in Singapore with a strong track record in delivering major building and construction projects across residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments.
With an established presence in the local construction industry and a growing portfolio of projects, they are currently looking for an experienced Assistant HR Manager to join their HR team and support the company's ongoing workforce and business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the HR Manager in overseeing the full spectrum of HR functions and daily HR operations.
- Handle end-to-end recruitment from managerial role, including sourcing, interviewing, salary proposals, offers and onboarding.
- Manage employee compensation matters, including salary reviews, increments, remuneration packages and salary benchmarking.
- Review and verify monthly payroll, including salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions and other payroll components before approval.
- Administer and oversee relevant government grants, employment schemes and claims.
- Handle employee lifecycle matters including confirmation, transfer, promotion, resignation and termination.
- Support HR matters for both office staff and site/workforce employees.
- Advise employees and management on HR policies, employment practices and HR-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with the Singapore Employment Act, MOM requirements and relevant employment regulations.
- Support the implementation and review of HR policies, procedures and internal HR processes.
- Prepare HR reports, manpower information and other HR documentation for management.
- Work closely with project/site teams on manpower and employee-related matters.
- Act as the HR Manager's key support and oversee HR operations in the HR Manager's absence.
- Perform other HR duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Must have relevant HR experience within the Singapore construction industry.
- Preferably 5 years or more of HR generalist experience, with good exposure to full-spectrum HR functions.
- Hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll review, compensation & benefits, salary review and employee relations.
- Good understanding of payroll components, particularly for construction/site employees and workers.
- Familiar with government grants, employment schemes and HR-related claims.
- Good knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act, MOM regulations and employment practices.
- Experience handling both local employees and foreign workers will be advantageous.
