Job summary

The German Institute of Science and Technology - TUM Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an Academic Programme Delivery & Quality Assurance professional to oversee undergraduate and postgraduate EEIT programmes. You will drive programme improvement and support student experience.

You will teach or co-lecture where required, supervise projects, engage industry partners, and represent the institution at external events, contributing to new academic programmes and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Electrical Engineering and IT or closely related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant working experience; PhD with five years for Faculty Head.
• Preference for candidates with education or related industry experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordinating, day-to-day management and implementation of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programme under EEIT.
• Drive and support continuous improvement of existing programmes, academic processes and student experience.
• Assist in development and implementation of applicant screening and admission related academic processes where required.
• Teach or co-lecturer/co-module lead for undergraduate and postgraduate modules; supervise projects, internships, theses.
• Identify and engage academic and industry partners for collaboration; support research proposals.
• Represent TUM Asia at industry engagements and external events; contribute to new academic programmes.
• Support student recruitment activities, including information sessions, fairs, talks, and outreach.
• Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders; organize events and meetings.

Job Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities for this role include but not limited to:

Academic Programme Delivery & Quality Assurance:

• Support planning, coordinating, day-to-day management and implementation of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programme under EEIT.
• Drive and support the continuous improvement of existing programmes, academic processes and student experience.
• Assist in development and implementation of applicant screening and admission related academic processes where required.

Teaching and Student Academic Support:

• Teach or serve as co-lecturer/co-module lead for relevant undergraduate and postgraduate modules, subject to qualifications and programme requirements.
• Supervise and monitor student projects, internships, theses or other academic activities where required and qualified.

Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives:

• Identify and engage potential academic and industry partners for collaboration.
• Support research cooperation and the development of joint research proposals where applicable.
• Represent TUM Asia at relevant industry engagements, academic activities and external events.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new academic programmes and interdisciplinary initiatives.
• Support new business, executive education and other strategic projects where required.

Student Recruitment and Outreach:

• Support student recruitment activities including at education fairs, information sessions, school visits, talks and outreach events locally and internationally.
• Deliver programme briefings and academic presentations to prospective students and other stakeholders.
• Provide academic input to marketing and recruitment activities relating to EEIT programmes.
• Support engagement activities with prospective students, partner institutions and industry stakeholders.

Project Liaison Role:

• Serves as the main liaison with TUM in Germany and acts as a facilitator and problem solver.
• Coordinate the planning and implementation of academic and research projects with management, faculty and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with local university partners and other institutions involved in programme delivery.
• Oversees all aspects of projects from the start to the completion, working with professors, faculty heads and other external stakeholders to ensure all deliverables fall within applicable scope and budget and compatible with established projects goals and objectives.
• Handling various scholarships and grants.
• Support visiting professors and faculty members in the delivery of academic activities in Singapore.
• Prepare reports, presentations and programme-related documentation for internal and external stakeholders when needed.
• Spearhead, organize and coordinate events/conferences and internal/external meetings.
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties/projects assigned by the management.

Requirements:

• At least a Master‘s in Electrical Engineering and IT or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum three years of relevant working experience. Candidates holding a PhD with relevant five years of working experience may be considered for Faculty Head position.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the education or related industry.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively as a team player.
• Candidate must be willing to travel at times to support in student recruitment fairs or talks.
