Job summary

Pan Pacific Hotels Group is seeking a seasoned Facilities & Engineering Manager to lead the Serviced Suites Predictive Maintenance program. You will oversee third-party contractors, manage budgets, and drive timely capital projects to ensure optimal hotel operations across suites and facilities.

The role requires a strong background in hospitality maintenance, staff leadership, and a proactive approach to energy and asset protection within a premium hotel environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5–8 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years in hospitality in a managerial role.
• Degree in a related field or Technical Diploma.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.
• Good management and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor Serviced Suites Preventive Maintenance program (PPM) diligently.
• Manage third party contractors contracts maintenance schedule, scope of works, terms and conditions as in the service contracts.
• Monitor and control expenses; assist in annual departmental operating budget and financial planning.
• Ensure timely execution of capital expenditure projects as planned.
• Manage daily activities of the department; plan, organize work, communicate goals, and schedule staff.
• Analyze monthly engineering activities to improve operating standards and minimize downtime.
• Initiate corrective and periodic maintenance to site-specific requirements.
• Formulate training blueprint to ensure staff are trained and equipped to perform their duties.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication across departments; may serve as manager on duty.
• Maintain and repair interior/exterior of buildings, plants, equipment, suites rooms and contents.
• Establish procedures to secure inventory and assets; replenish supplies timely; minimize wastage.
• Assist risk management to protect employees and guests; support energy/water conservation initiatives.

The Role

• Plan and monitor Serviced Suites Preventive Maintenance program (PPM) program is diligently executed.


• Manage all Third Party Term Contractors contracts maintenance schedule are executed and scope of works, term and conditions as specified and agreed in the Service contracts.


• Monitors and controls expenses within all areas of the department. Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial.


• Ensure Capital expenditures projects are executed timely as planned.


• Manage the daily activities of the department. Plan and organize work, communicate goals, and schedule employees to ensure proper coverage.

Talent Profile

• At least 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in the hospitality industry in a managerial position


• Degree in a related field/ or at least a Technical Diploma


• Good written and verbal communication in the English Language


• Ability to maintain and repair relevant machinery


• Knowledge of functions of relevant technical systems and associated equipment and operational procedures


• Good management and supervisory skills


• Self-motivated, able to function independently
