Job summary

PUB, The National Water Agency, in Singapore, invites applications for an Assistant Engineer to support operations and development of water resources. Deployable to PUB’s five Operations Departments, you will help manage reservoirs, water treatment plants, and network infrastructure while coordinating with engineers, contractors, and public agencies.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Engineering and can work independently or within teams, with strong communication and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering (Civil/Environmental, Mechanical or Electrical disciplines) required.
• Able to work well independently and in teams.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support plant operations and maintenance of equipment.
• Field work as first respondents to incidents on-site providing on-site investigation, troubleshooting and resolution.
• Attend and manage customer feedback related to water supply or drainage.
• Carry out routine inspections of drainage network in flood sensitive areas.
• Patrol reservoirs, catchment areas, pumping stations, dams, intake towers and pipelines.
• Assist engineers in budgeting of projects and tender preparation.
• Assist engineers in project management work.
