Job summary

PUB, The National Water Agency in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Engineer in the Planning & Design Division. You will support catchment planning and management of the used water network to ensure sufficient capacity for upcoming developments.

Your work involves GIS data updates, numerical analyses of sewer utilisation, and preparing technical replies and submissions related to sewerage works.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil (preferred), Mechanical or Environmental Engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Proficiency in CAD software e.g. Microstation or AutoCAD; GIS software e.g. ArcGIS would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Using GIS (ArcGIS) to update planning information with attributes like polygon shape, land use, plot ratio and dates.
• Using in-house software to perform numerical analysis of sewer utilisation and identify where new sewers are needed.
• Preparing written replies, processing submissions from developers and public agencies, and providing technical advice on sewerage matters per our Code of Practice.
