Merries Executive Search is seeking an assistant engineer to assist in power-system troubleshooting, testing and commissioning on a live project. You will maintain records, follow approved procedures and report progress to the designated project supervisor.

The role requires precise documentation and teamwork on site. Key tasks include executing site activities, updating diagrams and wiring drawings, and performing basic leakage checks and voltage measurements under supervision.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics or equivalent ITE relevant to the role.
• Able to understand and communicate in English to follow technical procedures.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and follow testing and commissioning procedures.

Responsabilités

• Work independently and with the project team to meet testing and commissioning schedules. Resolve problems proactively.
• Record test results and report progress in the prescribed format. Carry out equipment and cable labelling, and routine maintenance.
• Update diagrams, routes, termination lists and system drawings for submission. Follow site safety requirements and authorisation.
• Carry out MDF terminations and power-system troubleshooting within the project scope.
• Perform leakage-current checks and voltage measurements as per procedures and authorisation.
• Test and commission power systems, record results and report faults or abnormal readings.

Our client is looking for an assistant engineer to carry out power-system troubleshooting, checks, testing and commissioning.

Maintain accurate records and complete site activities in accordance with approved procedures and authorisation.

Reporting line: Designated project supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Site Execution and Documentation

• Work independently and with the project team to meet testing and commissioning schedules. Resolve problems proactively and resolve unresolved issues.
• Record test results and report progress in the prescribed format. Carry out equipment and cable labelling, and routine preventive and corrective maintenance for power systems.
• Update single-line diagrams, cable routes, termination lists and system drawings for submission. Follow site safety requirements and perform related duties within the assigned system scope, training and authorisation.

Power Systems

• Carry out the specified Main Distribution Frame (MDF) terminations and power-system troubleshooting within the approved project scope.
• Perform basic leakage-current checks and voltage measurements in accordance with approved procedures and authorisation.
• Test and commission power systems, record results and report faults or abnormal readings.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electronics or an equivalent ITE qualification relevant to the role.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience and working knowledge in power systems relevant to the project.
• Working knowledge of relevant power-system fault finding, specified terminations, leakage-current checks and voltage measurements.
• Able to understand and communicate in English to follow technical procedures, coordinate work and report progress.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and follow testing and commissioning procedures.
