Job summary

Merries Executive Search is seeking an Assistant Engineer for radio system configuration, installation supervision, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning at our Ang Mo Kio site in Singapore. You will maintain accurate technical records and ensure site activities align with the project schedule.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience with radio systems, ability to read technical drawings, and to communicate in English to coordinate work and report progress.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics or an equivalent ITE qualification.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience with radio systems.
• Knowledge of radio equipment, basic network configuration, wiring and MDF terminations, and fault finding.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English to follow technical procedures, coordinate work and report progress.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and follow testing and commissioning procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out radio system configuration, installation supervision, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain accurate technical records and complete assigned radio site activities according to the agreed schedule.
• Work independently and with the project team to meet testing and commissioning schedules.
• Resolve problems proactively and resolve unresolved issues.
• Record test results and report progress in the prescribed format.
• Carry out equipment and cable labelling, and routine preventive and corrective maintenance for radio systems.
• Update single-line diagrams, cable routes, termination lists and system drawings for submission.
• Follow site safety requirements and perform related duties within the assigned system scope, training and authorisation.
• Perform basic radio network configuration, wiring terminations and MDF terminations.
• Carry out basic radio system troubleshooting and supervise radio installation works.
• Test and commission radio systems in accordance with test procedures and prepare documentation for submission.
