Job summary

COMBUILDER PTE LTD is seeking an Assistant Engineer to ensure the operational readiness and maintenance of naval platforms at Changi Naval Base. You will work with fellow engineers, Service Delivery Managers, and Project Managers to support onboard systems through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, refurbishment, and equipment installation across vessels, workshops, and shipyards.

You will have opportunities to be shortlisted for participation in short-term overseas attachment and training

Qualifications

• Knowledge of underwater, mechanical, electronics, and electrical systems on vessels.
• Familiarity with maintenance regimes and card-level troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in a team and independently when required.
• Professional handling of customer interactions.
• Willingness to work outdoors on naval platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to sail for up to a week when required.

Academic Qualifications:

• NITEC or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related fields).


• Naval-related maintenance training certifications are advantageous.

Requirements & Skills:

• Solid working knowledge of underwater, mechanical, electronics, and electrical systems on commercial and military vessels.


• Familiarity with maintenance regimes and basic troubleshooting down to card level.


• Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.


• Capable of handling challenging customer interactions professionally.


• Willingness to work outdoors and onboard naval platforms.


• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.


• Willing to sail for up to a week when required.
