Job summary

SUCCESS RESOURCE CENTRE PTE. LTD. is seeking an engineer to maintain Navaids systems onboard vessels and IT security systems onboard.

The role involves collaborating with Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to deliver quality maintenance, with chances for short overseas attachments and to manage team or workshop level operations. Requirements include knowledge in Navaids, IT security, and naval maintenance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience on Navaids system.
• Naval related maintenance or training certifications would be advantageous.
• Knowledge in firewalls, servers, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, VMware, SIEM, PAM and HCI would be advantageous.

- Mon – Fri: 8am – 5.30pm

- Changi (Shuttle bus provided at selected MRT station)

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the maintenance of Navaids systems onboard and IT security systems onboard surface vessels and shore facilities. You will work closely with other engineers, Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to deliver quality maintenance services to our customers. You will have opportunities to be short-listed for participation in short-term overseas attachment and training courses. You will have opportunities to manage maintenance operations at team, or workshop level.

• Work with the Superintendent to upkeep the systems onboard the naval platforms at the highest state of availability and readiness.
• Perform Navaids systems maintenance tasks onboard vessels, workshop, and shipyards
• Perform defect troubleshooting on Navaids systems
• Perform installation/removal work for equipment/systems
• Perform refurbishment of electronics unit/assemblies

Period:

• 1-year contract

• Up to $6,000 (depends on experience)

Working hours:

• Mon – Fri: 8am – 5.30pm

Location:

• Changi (Shuttle bus provided at selected MRT station)

Requirements:

• Knowledge in Engineering, IT, or equivalent
• Knowledge and experience on Navaids system.
• Naval related maintenance or training certifications would be advantageous
• Knowledge in firewalls, servers, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, VMware, SIEM, PAM and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) would be advantageous
• Good working knowledge and experience working on-board commercial and military vessels on underwater, mechanical / electronics / electrical systems
• Good working knowledge and experience on computer software (words, excel).
• Understanding maintenance regime and basic experience in troubleshooting system till card level
• Able to work well in a team and independently as when required.
• Able to work with challenging customers.
• Able to work outdoors and onboard naval platforms.
• Able to sail for up to a week if required.
