Job summary

ST Engineering Marine Ltd. is seeking an EHS professional for on-site support at Changi. The role focuses on organizing EHS kick-off meetings, monitoring hazards, certifying hotwork, and coordinating the PTW system on vessel projects.

You will maintain EHS records, drive risk management, investigate incidents, and support CSA assessments. A relevant diploma and leadership abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma related to EHS/Engineering/Physics/Chemistry.
• Hotwork and Confined Space Assessor certifications are an added advantage.
• Solid understanding of Workplace Safety & Health Act and shipbuilding regulations.
• Strong report writing, incident investigation and analytical skills.
• Demonstrates leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient with computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Organize and conduct EHS kick-off meetings prior vessel arrival.
• Assist SRM/PM to monitor and control hazards before work starts.
• Perform hotwork and hazardous works certification.
• Assist SRM to organise VSCC meetings and act as secretary.
• Maintain project EHS records and coordinate PTW system.
• Update vessel safety coordination board and inspect safety equipment.
• Drive implementation of EHS plan, risk management and accident prevention.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and near misses.
• Undertake performance appraisal of CSAs and support other EHS tasks.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Organize & conduct EHS kick off meeting prior vessel arrival
• Assist SRM/PM to monitor & control inherent hazards prior work commencement
• Perform hotwork & hazardous works certification
• Assist SRM to organise VSCC meeting (Acts as Secretary)
• Maintain project EHS related record
• Coordinate the PTW system implementation
• Update vessel safety coordination board
• Coordinate & inspect fire fighting & rescue equipment deployed on vessels
• Drive the implementation of project EHS plan / project accident prevention activities / project risk management
• Investigate accident/incident & near misses
• Undertake performance appraisal of CSAs
• Undertake other tasks as directed by the Engineer (EHS) & Manager (EHS)

Requirements:

• Minimum a Diploma related to EHS/Engineering/Physics/Chemistry
• Hotwork Assessor Certification & Confined Space Assessor Certification are an added advantage
• Good understanding of Workplace Safety & Health Act & Shipbuilding & Shiprepairing regulation
• Good report writing & incident investigation & analytical skills
• Possess strong leadership & interpersonal skill
• Computer literate
