Reporting to the Finance Director, you will oversee financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and governance across the organisation. You will partner with senior stakeholders, internal auditors and external auditors, build lean high-performing teams, and be hands-on when needed, using MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Business or related field.
• 15+ years of relevant experience with at least 10 in managerial roles; healthcare/public sector experience is a plus.
• Strong business acumen and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead lean, high-performing teams.
• Hands-on with MS Office and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an accurate and smooth monthly financial closing process in accordance with organisational requirements.
• Manage statutory reporting and audit requirements, ensuring financial statements comply with the latest IFRS requirements.
• Participate in the organisation's budgeting and rolling forecast processes.
• Manage key operational finance processes, including: Cash management, Purchase requisitions and purchase orders, Fixed asset management.
• Promote and maintain a strong culture of corporate governance and financial controls.
• Work closely with internal and external auditors and partner key stakeholders to ensure audit issues are addressed and closed promptly.

Our client, a well-established healthcare organisation in Singapore , is seeking an experienced finance leader to join its team as Assistant Director, Financial Control . Reporting directly to the Finance Director , you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and governance of the organisation's financial accounts and processes. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, operational finance and corporate governance while partnering closely with senior stakeholders, internal auditors and external auditors. This opportunity is well suited for an accomplished finance professional with extensive managerial experience who is comfortable operating at both strategic and hands‑on levels .

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure an accurate and smooth monthly financial closing process in accordance with organisational requirements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business or related fields.
• At least 15 years of relevant working experience with minimum 10 years' experience in managerial roles ; experience in the public healthcare sector will be an advantage.
• Strong sense of business acumen and ability to engage stakeholders to deliver on improvement outcomes.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders from diverse background at various seniority.
• Numerate, meticulous and possesses analytical aptitudes to make sense of complex data from multiple sources to deliver succinct but visually engaging narratives and plans for action.
• Dynamic leader with a proven track record of building and developing lean and high performing teams.
• Able to be hands on when the need arises, with proficiency in MS Office suite and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI .
