Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore seeks a seasoned Finance and Procurement Leader to drive sound financial stewardship and procurement excellence. You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and strategic advisory, aligning funding with procurement needs while leading end-to-end processes and ensuring governance compliance.

You will manage stakeholder relationships, evaluate contractor performance, and act as the liaison with central authorities on financial and procurement policies.

Qualifications

• Education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in a finance and/or procurement-related role.
• Knowledge of enterprise Logistics IT systems and familiarity with policies on finance and procurement advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across levels.
• Strong leadership and decision-making ability.
• Ability to adapt to change, manage priorities, and drive process improvements.
• Meticulous with a keen eye for detail.

What The Role Is

You drive the sound financial stewardship and procurement to enhance operational efficiency. You ensure effective resource allocation, strict compliance with guidelines, and the delivery of timely, high-quality financial and procurement services through team leadership.

What You Will Be Working On

Challenge(s)

• Understanding and navigating the complexity of the MINDEF/SAF's finance ecosystem, frameworks, policies, and processes
• Addressing ambiguities in financial policies and procedures in cross-functional or multi-agency environments to ensure consistent and accurate decision-making
• Managing fluctuating workloads and tight deadlines during peak periods while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and service quality

What We Are Looking For

• Education in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain or Logistics Management, or a related discipline is preferred
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in a finance and/or procurement-related role
• Knowledge of enterprise Logistics IT systems, and familiarity with policies and guidelines on finance and procurement is advantageous
