What the role is:

You provide accurate and timely analysis reports on defence capabilities and related developments in identified countries-of-interest in the Asia-Pacific region.

What you will be working on:

- Conduct research on defence capabilities and related developments in identified countries-of-interest, including the implications of technological development on military capabilities- Monitor, analyse and identify trends in their defence procurement strategy, defence collaborations and technology development- Lead a research team to produce high-quality, original research reports- Present research findings to military leaders and relevant stakeholders- Identify new trends and developments that could impact defence capabilitiesChallenge(s)- Keeping pace with rapid changes in defence and security landscape- Synthesising large amounts of information into clear, concise assessments- Delivering high-quality analysis under tight deadlines

What we are looking for:

- Education in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies or related field- At least 6 years of experience in defence capability research or analysis- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills- Excellent writing and communication abilities- Comfortable to work independently or part of a team of analysts to work on identified topic-of-interest- Interest and knowledge on current technology developments and their implications to defence capabilityOnly shortlisted candidates will be notified.
