Job summary

A leading organization in Singapore is looking for a Project Manager to oversee major development projects. You will be responsible for design and project management throughout the project life-cycle, ensuring completion on time and within budget. The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Civil Engineering and have at least 12 years of relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.

Job description

Overall Job Purpose:

Plan, manage, implement, and supervise major development projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies/partners on major development projects from project inception to handover.

  • Responsible for design management, project management and coordination throughout the entire project life-cycle.

  • Develop detailed implementation programme and strategy.

  • Develop project briefs, requirements, technical specifications for the procurement of consultancy and construction contracts.

  • Identify project interface issues and collaborate with all interfacing parties to develop effective mitigation measures.

  • Identify project risks and implement necessary mitigation measures.

  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and meet specified quality standards.

  • Demonstrated the ability to work independently and lead project teams.

  • Manage project team dynamics and assign appropriate tasks to the relevant team members.

  • Facilitate and organise meetings with internal stakeholders and external agencies/partners.

  • Conduct regular site visit/inspections and to report on quality and progress.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Minimum of 12 years post-graduate relevant experience in the construction industry.

  • Required to have project management experience in large scale engineering infrastructure projects and have managed contracts with value of at least S$100 million.

  • Design and/or Design Management experience in multi-disciplinary engineering projects or infrastructure projects would be an advantage.

  • Posses strong written and communication skill in English and able to engage stakeholders from diverse background.

This is a 3-year contract with the possibility of renewal.
