Job summary

PETROGAS SHIPPING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Crewing Manager to oversee crewing activities for assigned vessels, reporting to the Crewing Manager.

You will review procedures for MLC compliance, coordinate crew changes within budget, and liaise with masters and agents to ensure timely payroll processes and proper documentation in PAL system. This role creates ad hoc assignments as needed and requires strong communication and organisational skills to manage multiple vessels

Responsibilities

• Review crewing procedures and ensure compliance with the requirements of the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC, 2006), and other applicable regulations.
• Coordinate and oversee crew and officer changes for assigned vessels, ensuring that all arrangements are made within the approved manning budget.
• Coordinate and follow up on applications for Flag State endorsements for crew members and officers serving on assigned vessels.
• Maintain close communication with vessel Masters and manning agents to coordinate, monitor, and verify monthly onboard crew payroll for assigned vessels.
• Liaise with manning agents regarding agency fees, crew travel reimbursements, and crew allotments, ensuring timely processing and settlement.
• Follow up with manning agents to obtain and review monthly crew assembly plans.
• Prepare, review, and verify port cost statements and invoices received from local agents to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
• Ensure that all required documents and records are properly filed and maintained in the PAL system in accordance with established filing procedures and instructions.
• Perform any other ad hoc assignments or responsibilities as assigned by the Company or the Crewing Manager.

Assistant Crewing Manager
