Job summary

GOLDEN CAFE GROUP PTE. LTD. is seeking a kitchen assistant to support the chef in daily food preparation, ingredient handling, and efficient kitchen operations. You will help with cutting, portioning, basic cooking, and maintaining hygiene across equipment and stations.

Ideal candidates will have some kitchen or zi char experience, be able to work in a fast-paced setting, and demonstrate a positive attitude and teamwork. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Candidates with relevant kitchen or zi char experience will have an advantage.
• Able to work in a fast-paced working environment.
• Willing to learn and possess a positive working attitude.
• Able to work well in a team with basic communication skills.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chef in preparing and handling ingredients including seafood, meat, and vegetables.
• Assist in daily kitchen preparation work including cutting, portioning, and sauce preparation.
• Support kitchen operations and food preparation during peak operating hours.
• Assist in basic cooking, deep-frying, and simple wok preparation duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
• Ensure proper food handling and storage in accordance with food hygiene and safety standards.
• Assist in receiving, checking, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Work closely with supervisors and kitchen team members to support daily operations.
