Job summary

The American Club in Singapore seeks an experienced facilities leader to own and supervise the engineering and maintenance operations. You will manage the engineering team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility performance.

Ideal candidates bring minimum 5 years of managerial facilities experience, deep building management knowledge, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managerial experience in facilities management.
• In-depth technical knowledge in building and facilities management, CERT, risk assessment and workplace safety and health.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and audits of building condition, equipment, and mechanical plant; identify maintenance needs and implement actions to ensure safe, efficient, and optimal operations.
• Oversee and coordinate all engineering-related requests as well as the club’s maintenance planning and defect rectification, ensure timely completion of works with minimal disruption.
• Drive the club’s sustainability targets by identifying and implementing energy management and green building initiatives.
• Mentor the Engineering team; oversee staffing, deployment, training, and performance to ensure operational excellence.
• Lead risk assessment for the Engineering team and ensure full compliance at all times.
• Manage departmental budgets, CapEx, and purchases, and ensure timely renewal of service agreements, certifications, and permits.
• Liaise with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee and coordinate all engineering upgrading projects.
• Provide relevant support for club events and any other responsibilities assigned.
