Job summary

Eurofins Singapore is seeking a Chemistry graduate with 1–2 years in a testing laboratory to join our preparations and testing team. You will ensure tests follow methods, SOPs, QA policies, and you will prepare data and reports for clients.

You will calibrate and maintain equipment, monitor quality, comply with ISO 17025, manage workflow, and support safety. Good English communication, problem solving and multi-tasking in a fast-paced lab are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a testing laboratory.
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
• Able to solve problems, troubleshoot test results, and implement corrective actions.
• Must be able to multi-task and work effectively in fast paced environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 laboratory quality management systems is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Preparation & Testing

• Prepare samples
• Ensure tests are carried out in accordance with requirements of test methods, SOPs, and quality policies of the laboratory
• Ensure that tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare legible and accurate data and raw records for further review
• Perform method validation and measurement uncertainty evaluations for tests
• Perform calibration and maintenance for the equipment used for tests.
• Upkeep cleanliness of work areas, apparatus and equipment after use
• Maintain adequate laboratory inventory (reagents, chemicals, and consumables) to support testing operations
• Evaluate test results
• Deliver reports on test results to clients
• Manage workflow of jobs assigned to sub-contractors and monitor delivery of work in a timely and accurate manner
• At all times, adopt safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the Health and Safety of employees and clients, in line with company policies and procedures
• Adhere to ISO 17025 standards and internal QA/QC requirements
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management
