Job summary

CHINA COMMUNICATIONS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LIMITED (Singapore Branch) is seeking a Civil & Structural Engineer to assist the C&S Manager in coordinating civil and structural works on construction projects. This role involves reviewing drawings, ensuring compliance with specifications, and coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist the C&S Manager in managing and coordinating civil and structural works for construction projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and relevant project stakeholders on C&S matters.
• Review civil and structural drawings, specifications, method statements and technical submissions.
• Monitor C&S works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications and relevant standards.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and coordinating design changes during construction.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor the progress and quality of C&S works.
• Coordinate with the project team to ensure C&S works are carried out in accordance with the project schedule.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, submissions and documentation.
• Ensure C&S works comply with relevant statutory requirements, safety and quality standards.
• Perform other duties related to C&S works as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 18 years of relevant experience in civil and structural works.
• Experience in construction projects, preferably in building or infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of C&S construction methods, drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with relevant Singapore codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Good coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications will be an advantage.
