Job summary

Schroders is seeking a Compliance Specialist in Singapore. You will monitor regulatory changes, provide advisory support to business units, and assist the MLRO, ensuring robust 2nd line defense in asset management. The role includes surveillance, cross-border advisory, and reviewing client documents to maintain compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree holder.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an asset management setting.
• Strong understanding of local regulations impacting asset management firms; knowledge of retail product-related regulations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory changes and provide compliance advisory to business units.
• Conduct trade surveillance and execute the Compliance Monitoring Program.
• Assist the MLRO as a second line of defense.
• Manage substantial shareholding disclosures and provide cross-border activity advisory.
• Review marketing materials, RFPs, and client agreements from a compliance perspective.
• Conduct in-house staff training on AML, personal dealing, and licensing requirements.
