Job summary

sggovterp is seeking an experienced leader to manage a team responsible for the safety, reliability and availability of rail assets across their lifecycle. The role involves coordinating with Rail Operators, reviewing traction and voltage systems, and supporting testing, commissioning and handover of new assets.

The candidate will monitor asset performance, address obsolescence, and drive digitalisation of power asset management in Singapore's RTS network.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Electrical Power Engineering
• Experience in design, installation, operation and maintenance of rail power systems up to 22kV/1500V DC/750V DC
• Familiarity with railway safety requirements
• Leadership and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage a team to ensure assets are safe, reliable, maintainable and available throughout their lifecycle.
• Coordinate with Rail Operators to feed O&M issues back to design divisions for continuous improvement of RTS.
• Review designs of medium voltage power systems, rail traction power systems and reticulation schemes; witness testing, commissioning and handover.
• Monitor asset condition, reliability and performance; manage obsolescence and spare-part strategies.
• Apply knowledge of AI and digitalisation to rail power asset management.
