Job summary

BW Offshore, a leader in offshore production systems, seeks an Asset Assurance Manager in Singapore. You will lead Offshore Technical Assurance Specialists across multiple disciplines to assure asset performance and drive improvements, reporting to senior management and coordinating across assets.

You will ensure Work as Imagined vs. Work as Performed, escalate risks, and contribute to the Asset Management framework.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Engineering or related major; Bachelor degree with significant relevant experience may be acceptable.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore Oil & Gas or closely related industry.
• Experience in multinational environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Offshore Technical Assurance Specialists across HSSE, Production Operations, Marine Operations, Integrity, Reliability and Maintenance, and EIT disciplines.
• Own and deliver the Technical Assurance Program for Operating Assets and contribute to the Asset Management Plan framework.
• Ensure assurance activities test Work as Imagined against Work as Performed and track findings to closure.
• Escalate intolerable risks through the Risk Management process and register in the ERM system.
• Maintain interfaces with Technical Authorities and inform continuous improvement of standards and requirements.
• Provide consolidated asset assurance input to Quarterly Performance Reviews and Asset Management Reviews.
• Facilitate independent verification for Corporate and Assets as directed by management reviews.
• Coach and develop assurance staff to ensure consistent judgement across assets.
• Report assurance programme performance, findings, risks, and good practices.
• Leverage risk intelligence to identify and mitigate emerging risks early.
• Maintain and update Management System documents to align with governance and improvement objectives.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Offshore Technical Assurance Specialists across HSSE, Production Operations, Marine Operations, Integrity, Reliability and Maintenance, and EIT disciplines, including oversight of the fleet-wide roving assurance deployment programme
• Own and deliver the Technical Assurance Program – Operating Assets and contribute to the Asset Management Plan framework by providing assurance over the effectiveness of asset-level controls across all disciplines
• Ensure assurance activities test Work as Imagined against Work as Performed, with findings captured in the designated assurance tool and tracked to closure at root cause
• Ensure findings identifying intolerable risks are escalated through the Risk Management process and registered in the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) system
• Maintain effective interfaces with discipline Technical Authorities, ensuring assurance outcomes inform the continuous improvement of performance standards and technical requirements
• Provide consolidated asset assurance input to Quarterly Performance Reviews and to Asset Interim and Annual Management Reviews
• Facilitate and perform independent verification as directed by the Annual and Interim Management Review process for Corporate and Assets, in accordance with the Management of Technical Verification process
• Coach and develop the Offshore Technical Assurance Specialists, ensuring consistency and quality of assurance judgement across disciplines and assets
• Report assurance programme performance, compliance with plan, key findings, emerging risks, and identified good practices
• Leverage risk and assurance intelligence to identify, elevate, and support mitigation of emerging risks and weak signals at the earliest opportunity
• Maintain and update relevant Management System documents, standards, procedures, and guidance materials to ensure alignment with governance requirements and continuous improvement objectives

Qualifications

• Master degree in Engineering or related major, Bachelor Degree with significant relevant experience may be acceptable
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry, or closely related industry
• Previous experience working in a similar role
• Previous experience working in a multinational environment is desirable
