Collins Aerospace in Singapore is seeking an experienced assembly technician to join the gearboxes production line. You will assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies, conduct inspections and tests, and document results to ensure products meet specifications.
The role requires a NITEC / Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering and at least two years in a precision engineering setting. A rotating shift pattern is expected, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
Component Assembly: Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to form complete gearboxes according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections and tests to ensure that components meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and address any defects or issues.
Use of Tools and Equipment: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble and test gearboxes.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and any adjustments or repairs made.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve assembly issues, ensuring that the final product is fully functional and meets all performance requirements.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, quality control, and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate assembly processes.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
NITEC /Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
At least 2 years working experience in a Precision Engineering environment.
Basic command of written and spoken English.
Able to work weekly rotating shifts
