Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Singapore is seeking an experienced assembly technician to join the gearboxes production line. You will assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies, conduct inspections and tests, and document results to ensure products meet specifications.

The role requires a NITEC / Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering and at least two years in a precision engineering setting. A rotating shift pattern is expected, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• NITEC /Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years working experience in a Precision Engineering environment.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to form complete gearboxes according to drawings and specifications.
• Perform inspections and tests to ensure components meet quality standards and specifications; address defects.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble and test gearboxes.

• Diagnose and resolve assembly issues to ensure final product is fully functional.
• Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and other team members for efficient assembly processes.
• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
