Responsibilities

Employment Type: 3-Month Part Time Contract (S$17 per hour)

About the Role

Advantech Singapore is looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented PC Assembly Technician to support our hardware assembly and system integration operations on a 3-month contract basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling industrial PC systems, installing and configuring hardware components, conducting functional testing, and ensuring that finished products meet quality standards.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a technical background who enjoy hands-on work with computer hardware and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• PC Hardware Assembly: Assemble and integrate industrial PC systems, including motherboards, processors, memory, storage devices, power supplies, and other peripherals according to technical specifications.
• System Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and set up hardware, operating systems, drivers, and peripheral devices as required.
• Functional Testing & Quality Control: Perform system functionality checks, hardware diagnostics, and quality inspections to ensure assembled products meet operational and quality standards.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic hardware, software, and system integration issues during assembly and testing.
• Material Preparation: Prepare, verify, and organize components and materials required for assembly activities.
• Prototype Support: Assist with prototype assembly, hardware modifications, and product testing when required.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate assembly records, testing results, and technical documentation. Report defects or technical issues to the relevant team.
• Workplace Safety: Follow established work instructions, ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions, quality procedures, and workplace safety standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure timely completion of assigned assembly tasks.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Preferably 1-2 years of hands-on experience in PC assembly, hardware installation, system testing, or a similar technical role.
• Familiarity with PC components, hardware configurations, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Basic knowledge of operating system installation, hardware diagnostics, and peripheral connectivity.
• Able to read and follow technical instructions, assembly guidelines, and testing procedures.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and committed to quality and workplace safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Fresh graduates with relevant hands-on PC assembly knowledge are welcome to apply.
