Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace in Singapore is recruiting a Gearbox Assembler to join our on-site manufacturing team. You will assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to form complete gearboxes according to engineering drawings and specifications.

The role requires at least 2 years in a precision engineering environment, basic English, and the ability to work rotating shifts; we value accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• NITEC / Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' working experience in a Precision Engineering environment.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to form complete gearboxes according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure components meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and address any defects or issues.
• Use of Tools and Equipment: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble and test gearboxes.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and any adjustments or repairs made.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve assembly issues, ensuring that the final product is fully functional and meets all performance requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, quality control, and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate assembly processes.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
