Job summary

Ley Choon Group Holdings Limited in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Engineer to support asphalt R&D, laboratory testing, and QA/QC. You will coordinate trials, analyse results, monitor material quality, and contribute to continuous improvement across production and projects.

Fresh graduates with an engineering background are welcome. Training will be provided to develop the necessary laboratory skills and involvement in site testing when required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Materials, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Interest in asphalt technology, construction materials, lab testing, and applied research.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Responsible, proactive, and collaborative with lab, production and project teams.
• Experience in asphalt, construction materials, lab testing, or QA/QC is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are welcome.
• Willingness to undertake hands-on laboratory work and site testing when required.

Responsibilities

• Research & Development and mix design through material selection and modifications.
• Coordinate lab and plant trials, test results, and quality monitoring.
• Support QA/QC by preparing test reports and verifying results.
• Assist in site testing, including IRI and GripTester measurements.
