Job summary

Ley Choon Constructions and Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Engineer to support asphalt R&D, laboratory testing, QA/QC, and site testing. You will coordinate trials, analyse results, and help improve production and project performance in a busy Singapore lab and field environment.

Fresh graduates are welcome; training will be provided. The role offers exposure to mix design, material testing, and sustainability-focused asphalt solutions within a leading infrastructure group.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in asphalt technology, construction materials, laboratory testing, and applied research.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Responsible, proactive, and willing to learn and work collaboratively with laboratory, production, and project teams.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and optimising asphalt mixtures through material selection and mix design improvements.
• Coordinate material preparation, sampling, and testing for laboratory and plant trials.
• Analyse trial results and recommend improvements with the R&D team.
• Support development of high-performance and sustainable asphalt solutions.
• Maintain trial records and monitor testing progress.
