Job summary

BARINGA CONSULTING LIMITED (SINGAPORE BRANCH) seeks a Consultant for its Asia Power Market Advisory team in Singapore. You will work at the forefront of the APAC energy sector alongside market specialists to develop, deploy and broaden your skills and sector expertise.

You will advise energy companies, regulators and financial institutions on economics, strategy and market design, with opportunities to influence policy and help clients navigate volatile power markets across Asia.

Qualifications

• Analytical degree in maths, science, economics, engineering, finance, operations or research.
• Understanding of wholesale power markets in the Asian markets.
• Passion for energy and energy decarbonisation.
• Comfort with data and numerical analysis.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Personable and professional, with teamwork ability.
• Energy sector experience desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide economic, commercial and strategic consulting to energy companies, financial institutions, governments and regulators.
• Valuations for mergers and acquisitions, portfolio optimization, hedging strategies for energy companies.
• Advise governments on the costs and benefits of different future energy policy options.
• Collaborate with APAC market specialists to develop and broaden sector expertise.
